Please folks quit naming Beyonce for every black female role, and she's not that good of an actress, matter of fact she hasn't grown that much as an actress from her first film (I'll let Cadillac Records slide, but it was revoked when Obsessed came out). I think Sparkle doesn't need to be remade, but if it is, please don't Beyonce in it.

I hate to say it but BEYONCE IS SISTA... Because the roll requires attitude and crazy sex appeal B has it that hands down. You cant tell me that Beyonce didnt come to mind when the were singing "JUMP" and Sista came out and danced.lol But it will be interesting to see this Carmen Ejogo does.

People Jordin is doing a remake of this movie. Hopefully she does as good as Irene did in this movie. She can sing so i think she'll do well and with Whitney Houston in it she will have a teacher on set too.
