NEVER take your hand off your baby when you go get the diaper and other supplies. We are taught this as nannies and in childcare. Always a hand on them. It's a rule, like using a car seat. Some parents don't know it. Especially as they get older and more wiggly, even with the dent in the changing pad. One fall is one too many.
