Rocco ADOPTED!

Due to extensive networking, Rocco has been adopted to a single guy in San Diego.

Rocco is a seven year old red nose pit bull. He is very charming and full of personality. He is affectionate, happy, enthusiastic and loves giving kisses. He loves people, big and small. He doesn't mind being used as a pillow as long as you don't mind a pillow that kisses.

Rocco is a very strong, muscular boy. He's over seventy lbs. and people are fascinated by him because he looks very powerful and intimidating. He's too friendly to be a guard dog but he certainly looks the part.

Rocco has come a long way with other dogs. When we got him, he was often nervous and uncomfortable and, on a couple of occassions, it came out as aggression. Over the year that we've had him, we're worked very hard to get him used to other dogs. He now lives with three dogs and, although there were some fights in the beginning, a long time has gone by without an incident. He also goes to a dog friendly facility every week and has made several doggy friends.

Rocco is strong-willed and needs a firm, experienced owner. He has had training and walks great on a leash. Sometimes, when walking, he starts prancing like a little show horse -- very cute for such a macho-looking dog.

Rocco has food allergies and needs to be on a good food. He has a slight heart murmur. Otherwise, he's in good health.

Rocco has recently lost his foster home and we can't afford to board him for long. Please network him.

Hi Dog Squad,

I am a volunteer rescuer in LA or over 10 years. I firmly believe that euthanizing Rocco is not the solution. I understand the time it can take for bully breeds to find their right home. Since you are in Socal too - pls reach out to other area rescue grps for help in networking his situation, raise donations 4 boarding, volunteers who could help walking him/socialzing. If only you were nearer. We're in Southern CA. I'm willing to drive some distance at this point if it gets him a home but Canada is too far :)
