  • Hi mate, just wondering what you think of the Arctic F12 fans? I'm thinking buying adding to/replacing my case fans. Gonna chuck 2 at the bottom of the case, one up the top and maybe replace the extraction fan at the back.

Just wondering how loud they get and if they push a decent amount of air?

Oh also, I notice that they have blue LEDs, is that right or did you mod them somehow?

    Thanks!

  • @rohaninabout The blue LEDs are from the NZXT fans as well as the fan controller. The F12 fans are pretty decent and aren't really that loud when they are maxed out and move a lot of air when its on highest RPM. They aren't very loud but it is noticeable if you are in a quiet room. They are PWM controlled so it can change the speed automatically according to the temps.

  • @TunaFish359 Thanks for that. I'm thinking of getting these (F12's), Scythe S-Flex or Scythe Kamas. The Scythes are about $30 more than the F12's, just wondering what you think I should go for?

  • @rohaninabout Yeah, i thought about that too, but I don't think 30 dollars for fans is justifiable, so i went with the 8 dollar F12 which aren't too bad. But the scythes will definately be better but i don't think 30 dollars is justifiable.

  • How long are the cables on your PSU? I might get it but I heard they were short...

  • @ksidornseif They're relatively average but they are kind of short, I don't think they will reach if you try to go around the back in a full tower, cause it barely reached in my mid tower.

  • Could you send me a PM with Images in more... normal angles?

  • @hyylo Yeah, there are tons. I recommend "Hardware Monitor" which is what I use but other programs are PC Wizard, Real Temp, SpeedFan, etc.

  • hi

is there a software i can install that will monitor how hot my computers gets?

  • @beingatliberty The pwm feature is a 4 pin connector that connects to the 4 pin on the motherboard and this allows the fan to be controlled depending on the temps of the other components. each fan can connect to multiple 4 pins or 3 pins. you can run a multiple fans from the 4 pin.
