I picked up the Lexan tube and gallon of naptha. I think I might need more though. A 4 foot by 3 inch tube might be more like a gallon and a half!
I have a question about how you calibrated the spheres. Did you just grind the tags? What were the calibration steps?

Well I found my Galileo thermometer broken after moving. I love this reincarnation rather than throwing it away.
What was used for a tube? for the liquid?

The tube is an 8 ft. polycarbonate (Lexan) tube that is sold to protect 8 foot fluorescent light tubes. The liquid is naptha. Both can be found in most hardware stores. You might have to recalibrate to have the spheres work correctly.
