From Alex McEwan's Beautiful Lies album, "Make A Wave," popular in the UK, summer '05. Championed by both Terry Wogan and Janice Long Radio 2 BBC, the recording rapidly rose towards the top of the play-list, as well as the charts. Alex along with guitarist, Matt Backer (Steve Winwood, ABC, Elton John, Cher, etc.) performed live on Janice Long's program while on tour with Katie Melua, '06.

Beautiful Lies was produced by Lou Natkin (a/k/a Lou Maxfield) and Alex McEwan. "Make A Wave" written by Alex McEwan, Lou Natkin,
Graham Daddy.
Alex McEwan hails from Glasgow, Scotland and is often compared to fellow Scotsman Justin Currie (Del Amitri). Critics have also compared Alex to Damien Rice, Paolo Nutini, as well as David Gray, but Alex has a style, as well as vocal approach all his own.

Since the release of "Beautiful Lies," Alex has toured the UK with Katie Melua and is currently writing material for a new album.
Yes, the title my have been borrowed by American pop star Joe Jonas (quite accidentally, I'm sure), but the original stands the test of time.
