I mean, it's so obvious. Doctor came in his Tardis, picked him up so he wouldn't be the only one who is faking his death.

Kidding. But I think it had something to do with Molly and the shooter that was supposed to kill John. Then again, I do usually epically fail when making assumptions.

But- but the sniper! Surely he'd have seen Sherlock land in a safety net; he had a clear view of where Sherlock landed, as far as we are aware, and if there'd been any doubt the John would've been shot. I don't know, your theory seems reasonable otherwise, but I definitely think all the evidence as to how he survied can't all be there. :/

You're missing the phone. Sherlock has the phone the entire time on the roof, but he also dies itt. He also does something very out of character which is asking Moriarty to explain his plan even tho he already knew Moriarty's plan. So, he basically pretended to not know what was going on so he could record Moriarty saying the plan. after all. "This is my note." He was talking about the phone. There's no point of Sherlock surviving if he can't prove Moriarty wrong.

I'm wondering, he fell from the building didn't he? He didn't jump. Wouldn't he fall straight down instead of land several feet in front of him, on the mattress, in the way that it's positioned next to the bus?
