so what they're really asking for is "raise everyone's taxes". if they want to chip in, why don't they take a pay cut? that way they're not forcing anyone else to pay more. in a way it's very sneaky. by raising everyone's taxes in the long run they will probably be wealthier as their salaries as state employees will be raised too.

so really this is a rally where people are converging on springfield demanding more money.

These are mostly teachers that were chanting this. The union paid for their day off and provided ways for them to get to this rally to rally to take more money from everyone else and give themselves more money.

The 66% hike in taxes here in IL was the same cost as my dental insurance. So, thank you teachers for my families lack of dental insurance.

These people are calling themselves stupid. They believe that the state knows better than the taxpayer how money should be spent. Another possibility is that these people depend on government handouts and do not pay taxes. They just wish to leech more money from people who actually work for a living.

There's no helping these people, and if you think they're confused, the joke's on you/us. Lots of useful idiots would be perfectly happy paying 98% taxes in exchange for the gov't providing them with food, shelter, clothing, health care, a vehicle, a gasoline allowance, education, child care, a phone, cable, and the like. We snicker, but I wouldn't have believed it myself until I heard a woman say it. Since then, I've heard many versions of the same. Do I have the right to post-birth abort them?
