@Apple2gs I'm going to guess that it was the early half of 1986 because it's almost exactly 3 years that a movie has it's television premiere. I.E. SUPERMAN, MOONRAKER, STAR TREK, ETC... THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE POST. HEARING THIS OPENING FROM WHEN I WAS A KID BRINGS A FLOOD OF GOOD EMOTIONS.

Where's the 1960's CBS Movies intros???????????.

@jmiles2579 The worst is the music that plays right before he opens the window, that creepy tune with the violins. Just thinking about it gives me chills!!

Anyone know why out of all of these links to promos, there are NONE for NBC? All my movies are centered around CBS and ABC, very strange, I guess NBC didn't have full access to the good stuff as the other two networks did.

@Apple2gs My bad, I see you mean the main station bumper, not the movie. Because I know when the movie premiered.

@Apple2gs This is not from 1978. It was released originally around 1983 but had aired more than once on TV and numerous times on cable.

Hey thanks for getting back to me. I would still be interested in a DVD-R copy of the film as is! Could you send me a private message? Thanks a lot!

those poor kids in that film. RIP
Hi I have been searching for this movie & The National Lampoon's Vacation movies that originally aired & premiered on the CBS Night Movie. Could anyone possibly burn me a DVD-R copy of this CBS presentation of Twilight Zone the Movie? Please contact me!
Many Kind Thanks!

I still have the original CBS airing of the movie on VHS tape (from circa 1986) but unfortunately I edited out all the commercials and bumpers. Back then tapes were expensive so wanted to save space, little did I know decades later the ads would be more interesting than the subject matter being taped! :)
The only unique thing left would be the bumper you see above. Unless the TV version had additional scenes added, cut or modified.

Doing some quick research, it appears this bumper was first introduced in 1978. I certainly remember it, growing up in the late 70's!
Going from memory, I recorded this CBS premier TV airing of Twilight Zone the Movie in 1986. Unfortunately I cut out all the commercials at the time so it's difficult to pinpoint exactly what month.
