A lovely old Irish Folk tune by Turlough O'Carolan.
For somebody very special.

This is said to have been O'Carolan's first song. The title translates as "The little fairy hill and the big fairy hill" and is said to be based upon a local legend about a war between two fairy armies.

This is an arrangement by Keith Chappell who plays this in related vids on acoustic and beautifully. Thanks Keith.

I tend to play things slower and over-romanticise in all I play. With this I hope it hasn't lost it's Celtic feel.

  • wonderfully played and lovely honest crisp sound from the instrument. what guitar are you playing and choice of strings? thanks.

  • @gibriel2006 Thanks for watching.

It is a 1966 Oscar Teller 6/A and I think the strings would have been Pro Arte high tension.

    Cheers,

    Paul

  • That's a great interpretation of this piece. I'd love to learn it. I know you used Keith's tabs but it doesn't look like he has a link to them anymore. Do you know where to find them? Thanks!
