Pattern from "I'll see the light, tonight".

There was a time when I used to listen a lot to Yngwie Malmsteen, but now I'm more into players such as Shawn Lane or Allan Holdsworth. I still consider Marching Out a great Metal CD, though.

In this exercise I only use i-a for the RH, and the metronome is set to 160. More exercises are coming...

  • wonderful video

I am seriously considering buying a Malmsteen or Cooley instructional book or DVD to take my classical / fingerstyle playing another level. At the moment I am working on new Flamenco picado exercises to help me with scales and playing melodies. I recently re-started playing guitar and I am just as serious as I was when playing the guitar for the very first time. This video shows how far I have to go and what is possible.

  • Nice work.

  • I noticed that you have a lot of these technical exercise postings. It really is great that we as guitarists focus on small exercises like this, because this should really be fundamental to our playing.

  • nice man!

  • Awesome! like to see more...
