  • are the black s2v's the same as he desert boot?

  • @TiberiusStorm I haven't gotten hands on with them... but they look to be virtually identical

  • Good Review but there is still one question. Is it resolable? I'm sure everyone would hate to have to blow another $200+ for a new pair once it wears out.

  • @Drownedinblood Anything is possible, but the sole of this boot is both glued and sewn to the upper so it would be very difficult to resole (most likely you would have to send it back to Rocky). The good news is that I have yet to meet anyone who has successfully worn out this boot.

  • Are these boots true to size? I have a pair of C4 Trainer which feel half size smaller.

  • @kmain0

    paracord 550 my friend

  • @Paintball4422 If you are looking for a winter boot I would recommend their waterproof version. You can see them (and some other good cold weather choices) at edesertboots (dot) com

  • my next pair of boots

  • Also the other complaints is some of the stitching on uppers is fraying, and some the stitching on left boot at crook on laces in middle is tearing off... again probably just wear and tear. I'm rough on boots...

  • I've taken these boots through 2 RTCs (17 days training prior to deployment) through dismounted/mounted ops in muddy wet terrain... also a 6 month deployment in a hazardous rocky/sandy environment. They are wearing down a bit but still holding up. My only complaints are the laces that come with them are a bit stiff and don't allow easy donning and taking off of the boot... (replace with Brigade QM laces) and the eyelets paint wears off on boot materials.

  • Thank you for the reply and info.
