Sandbridgeco, you win the stuffed Rock on the top shelf...amazing it took this long for someone to detect and post the method behind this video. We are in Virginia Beach, home of the best Striper fishing on the planet in January and February.

Hey mainblind let me ask you a question. I used a permanent marker to color a white sluggo black. Now I know you can say "just buy a black one", but lets put that aside for the moment. My question is will the black permanent marker workout well? Will there be any sort of "negative scent effect" or should it work out nicely? Any knowledge on this? Thanks for any info.

No prior experience with recoloring...and, yeah, at just over a buck apiece you should buy black ones. My guess - if a Striper is feeding and sees it, the scent won't matter much. Hit it with WD-40 and hope the color doesn't run? An interesting concept, though...just buy albinos and keep some markers handy for on-site alteration. Assume you'll give it a try...let us know how you do.

A reasonable fertilizer, but what does it have to do with this fantastic fishing video? Be specific.
