I too, saw him as a kid in New Orleans, but that was about 1965 on black and white only TV. This video must be a remake of the original. For one thing, there were no such things as "home video recorders" back in the day. I thought he was the coolest thing, good memories in a strange sorta way.

Was this a local show or something? Everyone seems to be from New Orleans

Morgus was great. Does anyone know if he is still around?

Is it just me, or did the guy who play Dr. Morgus look an awful lot like Morton Downey Jr.?
-
Why didn't he ever try to invent something to fix his back? - He just looked uncomfortable in every episode.

@JackSFA Yes... He is alive. Would love to shoot another movie before he passes on.

Every Saturday night I would tune in to see Morgus, Chopsley, and of course Eric.

I wonder if his inspiration for the Morgus costume and look was Professor Kelp from the original Nutty Professor? Reminds me A LOT of Lewis' character.
Morgus was awesome. I'm all grown up now but when I was a kid and I lived in suburban New Orleans this came on WGNO. I wonder if that guy is still alive. I would never miss this show when I was a kid.
