The Late Bishop Gamble has fought a good fight, he has finished his course and is awaiting a crown of righteousness, but the word of God that he preached while he was here with us lives on in our hearts. Many times, as he preached the word of God he would smile; but there were times when he preached; the fear of God would overtake him and you would know from just being in the midst, that this man was deep! God revealed unto him multitudes of prophesies and visions during his overseership! He Labored in the word and doctrines of The Church of God. He Pastored South Carolina as presiding Bishop after the passing of Bishop Louis Barr, (another Annointed leader of the Church of God). Bishop Gamble carried out the visions seen by our former leaders and committed his life to the furtherance of the body of Christ. He took early retirement from his regular job; so that he would be able to serve at full capacity in God's work. He would often call for Phillippians Chapter 1 and verses 3 thru 6. I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, (4) Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, (5) For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now.; (6) Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun this good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
The word fits his person: 1st Timothy 3d Chapter......This is a true saying, If a man desires the office of a bishop, he desires a good work. (2) A bishop then must be blamless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; (3) Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; (4) One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; (5) (for if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?) (6) Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil (7) Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
That was a true man of God! Listen, watch and enjoy!
