Sick not and tired of the war
Fought invisibly day and night
Times coming when we will put up our hands
Let go of our burdens make everything light
I'm not protesting a damn thing
Time we stood man to man
Making no demands shaking no fists
Got no time to get stuck in the sand
A friend buries his cash what he calls valuable
Depends on who you are what you fight for
I want to know He who made it all
The love He gave no man can destroy
Outlaws who made the law break it at every turn
They thought they'd get off the labor of the common man
People getting more aware if they're not getting smarter
They might raise their windows and rattle pots and pans
What are you doing with yourself
My family used to ask me
They hurt themselves not me too much
They come to their spirits at last
There's soaked battlefields in history books
I see guns, swords and hand to hand combat
But the people in those pictures, win or lose, they're dead
Names on markers on marble made to last
I hope there will be a shortage of it
and man will wake up and quit it
Great poem.
