Yes, I am Robert. Wayne Northrup (Roman Brady at the time) was leaving the show to go do Falcon Crest, I believe. They didn't know what to do with the character so they had me wander around not knowing "who" is was. It was supposed to be Roman with memory loss, but over the years that story line became very convoluted. Drake was hired to be Roman/John Black, after I did the bandages thing for a few months. I was never Duke Lavery. I left the show and became one of the Lettermen.

Is this Robert Poynton? Is that the spelling? I know that he played the pawn in bandages and married Amy Stock.
Also played Duke Lavery in bandages, I believe. I believe this was the day of the plastic surgery. I don't see the scenes where Steve saw him before the surgery, though. One of the bigger holes in the pawn really wasn't Roman retcon .
Then to have James Reilly, 9 years later, say there was no surgery. Absolute joke
if this is Robert, anyone ever tell you who the pawn was?

My first day on the set as the Pawn... what a learning experience! I had a blast and eventually wound up marrying the girl who played Britta, Amy Stock, a couple of years later... what a memory...thanks for posting.

I loved him as Roman too.

I hate hate hate Ryan Brady and Ryan Dimera. That whole s/l was sooo retarded. UGH. My first memories are of him as Roman and he should have stayed Roman, but then the really exciting affair s/l wouldn't have happened. Or actually, it still could have happened, but with Roman cheating on Isabella with Marlena. Hmm. I wonder if that would have been just as exciting....
