i try to gain as much heroics but more so than that, I like using all cav armies for mobility and add a support auxilia of 4 units of archer and 4 light infantry.

im not really a fan of ur strategie i like putting up a rain of fire with like 6 bateljons of archers and protect those with praetorians ore spears, than cove the flank with horses and hide some on the sides so i can ambush them, than they will all rout within seconds

hmm yea but when i go to invade a country then i calculate to invade the whole country with 1 army 8-10 Units and i make nearly evrytime heroic battles and after evry conquerd city i lose 1 unit for defending the city^^

i´ve conquered spain with 2 full armies, they had about 10 full armies :) i´ve just stand by their city and soon two enemy armies appeared and i´ve crushed in battle, excellent tactic :D

i would say : never let the infantry alone versus infantry and cavalry cuz ur cavalry was to far away u lost 1 unit hastati

one unit of hastati is a small prize for victory versus strong army :) and the hastati weren´t destroyed, later i´ve retrained them
