  • Such a marvelous song, thanks for reviving it John. You are the best.

  • decent music he put to this..........sometimes i have a problem with woody leaving his wife and family to hit the road, but...i cant speak too much about what the times were like then nor do i know his mind...he gave us good songs, many needed at that time deperate as it were.

  • @DictionRedaction

    We are far beyond the point of 'right' wing and 'left' wing, it's more like planet of the apes vs. humans...so sticking one's head in the sand doesn't do much. Now go back to your Televitz...!

  • @Mazurka1001

    RIght wing nut jobs talking about mental retardation, that's good.

  • John Gorka is treasure. He can chat all he wants.

  • By no means is the patter between John's songs as you describe. Check out this classic youtube video ?v=ar1e7-pupXI In any case, I love the chat between songs or else I could stay home and listen to the album. You should see people like Cheryl Wheeler and Cliff Eberhardt and you will see that what you are assuming is def not true.

  • You will find the lyrics at lyricsmania (dot) com under Woody Guthrie, Highway of Light.

  • @K1P2 Yes. but it's always the same stale, mentally retarded politically correct horseshit. If he was saying something like, "SO,  that purple-lipped chimp..." or something that...now, that would be funny, no? ;

  • How else would you know the interesting history of this song if he didn't tell you? I love John's concerts and largely because of his entertaining stories between songs. This is how folk concerts are and part of what makes them so much fun.

  • I completely agree. Mistitled
