@schnico1986 Frankfurt or even Munich is enough as it is the gateway of europe. Moneteraly, I think for now Zurich route is sufficiently served by enough airlines connecting at SIN, BKK or even KUL. If they can effort it, the wisest thing for Garuda is to open the additional european routes to FRA, CDG and LHR....

@wellbehavestudent I went to Indonesia in the summer of 1995( Java and Bali). I tried to book Garuda but they were fully booked and even over booked from their european gateways..so I travelled with THAI instead...as well...and GARUDA DC10 between Bali and Jakarta..not bad....wow a DC10 for an hours flight.

@wellbehavestudent I think I mostly describe the pre-1997 GARUDA that flew around the world, to Los Angeles via Biak, to Frankfurt,Gatwick,Amsterdam,Ma­drid,Munich,Rome,Zurich,Cairo via Abu Dhabi..and then suddenly most of the world vanished from the Garuda map and it became a regional and domestic carrier. Did tourists stop flying to Indonesia? Bali has been,is a tourist attraction since the 1960S. THAI was the first to fly Bali in 1968 I think.
