First of three preludes composed in 1919.

Respighi's piano music should be known more.

  • I agree completely.

Respighi is far too underappreciated, aside from his Roman trilogy.

  • I have to say, I'm almost as impressed with Respighi as much as Rachmaninov after hearing this piece. Respighi is right on the edge between impressionism and romantisism. Sure, I can't really keep up with all the layers, but I like how it delivers such depth with such shallow texture.

  • @Astathis Thanks for uploading!!! What CD Did You get these compositions from? Answer Please!!!

  • I was supposed to be just another click before going to sleep, but now I can't stop listening to this.

  • He used the same theme in his VETRATE DI CHIESE (CHURCH WINDOWS); it sounds wonderful on the piano.

  • What gregorian chant did he took for composing this?

  • Great great great! Thank you!

  • Interesante música. Interpretación precisa y clara. Complimenti!!

  • lovely tones and music sensitively played
