Olivia Adaptive Skiing - Waterville Valley, NH

On March 11th 2007 I took Olivia skiing at Waterville Valley, NH through their Adaptive Ski Program. She had a blast!

You'll see her coming down the slope in the middle of the screen in a sit ski, tethered to her instructor. I tell ya... this girl likes speed.

Olivia is 3.5 years old and was born with 22q13 Deletion Syndrome, otherwise known as Phelan-McDermid Syndrome. This syndrome occurs when a microscopic piece on the 22nd chromosome is missing. It effects walking, motor skills and speech.
