  • @NAVYWIFEONE your post-op symptoms were most likely due to the actual surgery/ clinical condition you had. The tube can cause sore throat (lots of it), but unfortunately its the only way to keep you alive during the operation.

  • Thank you so much for a wonderful and detailed demonstration.

  • Thanks alot

  • @NAVYWIFEONE

OH AND MY THROAT HURT LIKE HELL!!!

  • THIS HAPPENED TO ME WHEN I HAD LUNG SURGERY THE DOUBLE RESPIRATOR SPLIT THE SIDES OF MY MOUTH THEN I HAD TO HAVE A CHEST TUBE THEY HAD TO STOP ONE OF MY LUNGS WHILE THE OTHER WAS ACTIVE. VERY PAINFUL SURGERY. VERY PAINFUL AND I AM ONLY 38 .

I COUGHED UP BLOOD FOREVER AFTER THIS.

    I'M OKAY NOW

    GOD IS WITH ME.

  • Is this a computerised voice?

  • So - Anesthesia Residents at DLSUMC , go over this and prepare the patient accordingly... also always inform your training officer...

  • Excellent video. Tanks a lot.

  • Remember, after deflating the lung on the surgical side, you may want to

adjust your tidal volumes and respiratory rate since you are only ventilating one lung.

  • Very good video. The teaching is great.
