  • Would the 7'6'' be a good board for me if I am looking for a funboard that can turn and I usaully ride a 5'8'' shortboard and a 5'10'' egg shortboard? I am 15, 5'7'' and 118pounds.

  • @LongBeachSurfing - Yes you are spot on. Try the 7'6 you will find it to be very fast and really enjoyable.

  • Sorry for the two comments in a row...I didn't think the first one had posted because it didn't show up following a refresh.

Definitely planning to try one when I get a chance, it does look fun. It's just hard to swallow claims like "it's faster , turns better, gets more drive out of turns, and is the best of both worlds" after watching the video of a pro longboarder and being able to see first hand that there are both pro's and cons. But I guess that's just the marketing biz for ya, huh?

  • No drama on the 2 comments. I have to say that I am no prosurfer and it does exactly what ti says for me. We are selling them nearly everyday now. I am seeing them on the beaches. I think that says something for sure.

  • Being an amateur level surfer of 13 years and an engineer who designs products for a living, I love to see new designs like this.

However a lot of bold claims are made by the designer of this board... and to me they aren't yet fully substantiated. If you watch the clip of the Gareth Donovan riding one, and you've seen enough longboarding in your life to have a good basis for comparison, it's clear this board offers both advantages and disadvantages compared to traditional longboards.

  • Hi, I think the best thing to do is go to your local dealer and ride a demo. You will understand after the first wave that this board is different to ride and does perform like a shortboard but with the paddling characteristics of a longboard. You get the best of both worlds.

  • stop talking and show us how it rides...

  • Who's the architect of that house? It's great!

Nice looking board, too. Real engineering, nice to see a lot of thought go into something.

  • i can see this as a real fun ride, but i havent seen any footage of noserides where it really-really holds so you can get a 10 . I will be trying it out though...

  • Again - go for the demo. This is a fun board to ride.

  • The rails don't really get hung up. The more you ride the board off the tail the more responsive they are. You have to change your style a little from a traditional longboard. More back foot. just like a shortboard.
