Wonderful match :) Pierce could have achieved much more in her career, when she was on she really was a tough one to overcome

You are right, Pierce should have won this. The power was evenly matched between the two but pierce was moving better, had she not got so nervous at 5-4 final set she would have beaten Davenport on this occasion.
