@sparkkle2 Just curious, have you read his biography The Lost One? It's incredibly detailed and interesting!
Yeah there's definitely things to be sad about, but at the same time the guy did help pioneer the Film Noir genre and that's definitely something noteworthy. :)

I greatly enjoyed watching this German-made documentary! Can't thank you enough for those English subtitles! How sad that poor Peter Lorre was only 60 when he died in 1964. Of course, all that extra weight he'd put on over thet last decade & his heavy smoking habit didn't help things any. A truly unique artitsts in cinematic history. THANKS again for posting this! CHEERS! :-)

I feel like shit after watching this. Feel so bad for the guy. Thanks for uploading. Been trying to find more on Lorre, and this helped me a bit, although now I feel really shitty and sad :|.

I really appreciate what you have told me in this documentary. I am totally impressed with the man.

Thank you so much for posting this! It was very interesting....it seems hard to find alot of information about Peter Lorre's personal life and for some reason you just want to know more about him!!

@mikemcgee Well TCM has shown movies that were flops in their day but later considered works of art. I don't think they show that many non English speaking movies, unless they're specifically paying tribute to someone.

you bet turner classic movies wouldnt show it cuase of the cost of buying the copyrights and it was a flop they only show succesful classics

Thank you so much for the Posting of these 7 Scenes. I've purchased the book, "The Lost One" by Stephen D. Youngkin, which is very informative, But it was Also Good to hear it from those on the German Side, the people who worked close with him. Though it said that Peter Lorre wasn't Successful with this Film, I beg to differ, because he always wanted to Direct, & thats what he did and Completed it, too ! The Story may Not have been popular then, but its been revived for his FANS today !
oh it's such a wonderful, great feeling seeing this documentary here on youtube! wow! lorre would be thankful.
