Mexican-American Studies Problem in the Tucson Unified School District

It used to be known as La Raza Studies. Mexican-American Studies as it is taught in the Tucson Unified School District is not your average "Ethnics Study." That's what former Community Organizer Loretta Hunnicutt discovered. She started TU4SD.com to bring awareness to issues ta the district and recruit good School Board Candidates. Little did she know that as a Democrat who cares about kids she would be called to stand against fellow Democrats and against a program that TU4SD.com organizers believe indoctrinates students and intimidates critics. This 8 minute story only scratches the surface of what is going on in Tucson. It's no wonder that families are fleeing the district. (at least the ones who can)

Many Mexican -Americans like to monopolize the notion that they're the only Latinos in the USA. Many Latinos (non Mexican) are against this uncouth "La Raza" movement and their self segregating proclivities. La Raza has done zilch to stifle the astronomical high school dropout rate among MEXICAN-AMERICANS.

@aztecanet : If you really cared, you would stop the amateurish demagoguery on you tube and do something pragmatic about the astronomical high school dropout rate among the youngsters in your communities. Mexican-Americans in California (and in L.A ) have the highest dropout rates. That's a fact ; NOT an opinion! Mexican-Americans as a demographic are much larger than the Asian community. However, the percentage of Asians attending college is much higher than Mexican-Americans. Wake up!
