Call of Duty World at War: Dunkus Presents The World's Weapons Ep. 3 MG42 (WaW Gameplay/Commentary)

Welcome to episode 3 of the World's Weapons. This is a popular series that I have been running on my channel for a while and I thought I would share it with you guys at Machinima. I didn't change any of the commentary from when I originally put it on my channel. I hope you all enjoy this series.

Some of my facts and statements may be based upon opinion so keep that in mind. I would like to continue this series indefinitely all the way through Black Ops so let me know what you think.

Make sure to leave a comment, a rating and swing by my channel if you like what you see. Thanks for watching!

Hey, what's going on guys? It's Duncus and I am back for Episode 3 of The World's Weapons. And this week I am choosing to feature the machine of air 42 otherwise known as the MG42. And as usual, we're gonna take a look at the class we're using. We're using the big guns class, which consists of the MG42 of course, the Wather P38 which is the German sidearm in World at war. The frag grenade, the tabun gas, and then of course, we gotta use the bandolier, stopping power a nd I've chosen not to go for those hard to reach places this time.

I'm sticking with steady aim because this gun has incredible rate of fire, and I gotta control the beast when I'm firing from the hip. So there you have it. There's my class. We're about to play a game of team death match on It's a little bit of background and I know you guys have already seen the hanger on my STG video. But that's just the way the cookie crumble I guess. This map came up and typically this is one of my better maps. So hope you guys don't mind watching a few games on the hanger.

Now here we go again with these German weapons and their clever ways of naming things. We had the STG44 and now we've got the MG42 and, basically quite frankly it just means machine gun that was made in 1942. I mean these Nazis come up with really fancy ways of naming their guns I know. But it was introduce in 1942 and it uses the 7.92 by 57 millimeter Mauser cartridge, and that was the same cartridge, that was also used in the carbinder 98 bolt action rifle. If you can imagine the car 1200 rounds per minute at you and then you have the MG42, basically. I mean the fire rate on this thing is insane.

I got a little sound clip that I'm going to play for you real quick to kinda let you hear a real life MG42 and, what it really sounds like. So lets pause video, listen to this little sound clip of the beastliness of MG42 and we will reconvene in one minute. Oh my goodness, that right there is the distinctive sound of the MG42. It has one of the highest average rates of fire of any single-barreled man-portable machine gun. And the rate of fire can get up between 1200 and 1500 round per minute. In fact, according to one of my sources, the sound of this gun is so incredibly terrifying that the United States Army actually created training films to help aid soldiers in dealing with the psychological effects of facing this weapon of battle
