@filipinosaregay they look nothing alike, if you wasn't to see the original and possibly the greatest technician with ko power using the philly shell style then look at footage on george benton.
-
just seems weird watching sugar ray fight in color

At age 37,Sugar Ray was 142-5.Is there any other boxer who's had that record at that age?People talk about Pacquaio,Mayweather,Roy Jones and Hopkins being amazing(and they are),but they all stand in Robinson's shadow nontheless. Most of his overall losses came after the age of 39.As most boxers do,he went on way too long.

@KarasuNoGoh PERFECT Left Hook.. thrown by a PERFECT puncher, and perfect boxer... SUGAR RAY.. greatest of all time!!!
-
@sonwamac For sheer naked power. Jackson. Other than that there's no comparison, as you say.
-
jones jr. mayweather, de la hoya, hopkins, mosley, all of them got their hooks from this man...
-
so that were floyd mayweather gets his hooks from oh yeah and also the footwork is very similar

@025Kenneth025 Except Gene Fullmer was a Natural Middle-Weight who was much bigger and stronger with an Iron Chin.
-
I think Fullmer was expecting another right hand to the body
-
it was like Pacquiao VS Hatton fight
The same punch delivered the same way by Muhammad Ali sent oscar Bonavena packing in rd 15 of their fight. How does anyone think Sugar Ray as a knockout puncher and middleweight compare with Julian jackson?...Strickly as a PUNCHER now...not other skills cuz there IS no comparison there...but strickly as a puncher and knockout artist who was a harder hitter Sugar Ray or J.J.? I would go with Julian Jackson

Jackson was the bigger puncher although Robinson hit terribly hard for a welterweight and even delivered a few one punch knockouts at middleweight.
