Armenia's 'Black Tuesday'

On March 3, the Armenia Central Bank stopped propping up the national currency, the dram, against the dollar. As the dram plummeted, prices skyrocketed, and panic-stricken customers rushed to buy up staples. The effects of the currency crisis have hit ordinary Armenians hard, and are likely to be felt for a long time to come.
