Well I finally got the ceiling panel removed. We got a little break in the weather and it warmed up so I got out there and did it. Tomorrow I will pick up the new material for instalation before it rains again.

  • Mobiltec;

    Thanks to your DeVille series, I have the confidence to replace the rear interior birch panels and all of the putty tape on my '60 Mobile Scout. Someone previously replaced them from the inside, and it looks like crap. Where do you buy your gimp/welt at? I need to replace a lot of it.

    Thanks.

  • Hi Cheapswede, The gimp can be purchased at just about any RV parts place. I have two big rolls of it. White and Beige. You can also visit some of the links on my website. Glad you like the series and thanks for the subscription. Feel free to email me from my website if you have any questions. Hard to answer in detail here.

  • "You are both welcome to visit. At the moment nobody gets in or out of the canyon except on foot or horseback"

    Criffer's alternator will be replaced Monday then I take it to Jessie and then we're all set to go! Only I can't take any more time off from work. }:-}

    If Preston visits in August maybe you can drag him to DF this year. In fact I'm glad Criffer got another car -- don't know how he's paying for it since he doesn't have a job.

  • You are both welcome to visit. At the moment nobody gets in or out of the canyon except on foot or horseback, but perhaps come March the road will be drivable late at night or early morning.

    Douglas Preston may visit in August. I am thinking of going to East Mojave in April but I dunno. Round-up is the first week of May.

  • "Wait for me!!! I wanna go!"

    Actually that sounds like a plan. We could have you drive up to where I am and we could take my son's car. I'm sending myu son's car to the repair shop for a looking over to see if timing should be adjusted and to have them check compression and things. }:-}

  • "Shoot first."

    That's my motto... :)

  • "Then we'll drive out and see you and shovel snow."

    Wait for me!!! I wanna go!

  • "Great--- come here and shovel snow. :-)"

    Glad to! Abacus just got another car from somewhere. Probably stolen. But it doesn't need much work -- an alternator, a tune up, and a tank of gasoline and it should be fine. We're sending it to Jessies for a checkup and any other repairs to the timing and such. Then we'll drive out and see you and shovel snow.

  • "I perfer working in the Winter any way."

    Great--- come here and shovel snow. :-)

  • "hell i want one of these but the walls wont stop bullets"

    Shoot first.
