This is a long-distance view of the failed static test firing of the SpaceX Falcon 9 first stage on the launch pad March 9, 2010. The 9 rocket engines were supposed to fire for 3.5 seconds. The rocket aborted at T-2 seconds, during what's called "spin start". The failure at this point caused the vehicle to abort ignition and isolate the engines from the fuel system. The flames were residual kerosene and liquid oxygen being burned off.

There is no sound on this Air Force remote camera view.
