About this translation:
A more accurate translation of "Goeie reis" is bon voyage, but since many native English speakers lack even that basic knowledge of French, I've choosen 'godspeed' which sounds kinda lame, but will do the job.

A more accurate and literal translation of "ga sneller dan het licht" would be "go faster than light", but I've chosen "go beyond the speed of of light" because I thought it would be more poetic and comprehensible.

In the line "geef de liefde wat ze vraagt" he means that we should give in to Love, we shouldn't be afraid of it, take chances etc. I'm guessing he put that in because just like astronauting is a risky enterprise, taking chances with Love and one's heart is the same thing. So, he's talking about love, the concept of love, that is why I capitalized this like this: "give Love all she asks

There is some discussion whether the line is
astronaut, astraal verzilverd kind (astronaut, astral silver child)
or
astronaut, als traan verzilverd kind (astronaut, silver tear shaped child)
I always thought it was the first, and I can't find a definitive answer, so I've used the first. Feel free to sing otherwise. "verzilverd" literally means covered with a thin layer of silver.
