VTR BNR Extra, the daily freight from Rutland to North Bennington, finally arrives at North Bennignton about 4 hours after leaving Rutland. The reason for taking so long is that track speed for most of the 50 mile long line is about 10-15 MPH. Here, we see the train as it comes up past the station house, along the wye, and across the crossing at Main Street so that it can shove the rear 4 cars onto the Bennington Branch. Today's consist is GP40 301 with a 13 car mixed freight. If you have any questions about the video, feel free to message me. Comments are welcome. The video was taken on October 6th, 2008.

  • I'm glad you liked it. However, that is a P5, not a P3.
