A beautiful and poignant story set in Pakistan of the 1960s, just before the civil war that tore the country and its people apart. An exploration of the dilemmas of religious fervor and political struggle that test the bonds of kinship and love.
Facing great adversity and with a cast of gifted non-actors in the leading roles, Director Tereque Masud brilliantly crafted a film of universal quality and significance.
Cast: Nurul Islam Bablu, Russel Farazi, Jayanto Chattopadhyay, Rokeya Prachy, Soaeb Islam, Lameesa R. Reemjheem
Produced by Catherine Masud

You are half right - at the time when this movie was set it was called East Pakistan. But today it is Bangladesh, following the liberation war shown at the end of the film.

This is actually Bangladesh. I watched this film at my University in World Cinema and he says it's set in Bangladesh. Great movie!
