@highkarate im about as far from mainstream as it gets...im just too lazy to post those videos plus i was asked not to take some of them in the first place so ill respect them and keep it to myself.
so basically i have no idea what your talking about and i love that you base my entire love for music on this one concert i went to. wait to go bro.

Maybe you have been wading too much in the mainstream.
You gotta go out and live a little and meet all the real groovy cats who are hip to the scene and maybe see things a little differently.
"Musical culture" is not defined by what the mainstream media tells us is musical, or important. Sales does not determine the 'value' or importance of a work of art.
Don't believe the negative hype about people that the media like to push, ya dig. Who is behind that curtain? Not the people.

@highkarate sorry but this musical culture is too ruined by pop tarts and hip hop to appreciate real music

Wow!
Elling is the best!
This is our Caruso, this generations Sinatra.
I think Elling is going to catch fire and bring a new generation to Jazz through his vocalese art.
YES!

was there.

delicious.

apparently ( according to a recent post elsewhere) this is a poem by Rabi'a of Basra, a seventh century Sufi mystic, and very beautiful too.
It seems you follow Elling's videos quite often and leave your negative remarks. What's the purpose? Are you trying to convince us what you think is real? Move on to simpler artists and songs your mind can appreciate.

New Age? Are you serious? This is jazz at it's best. Not very well versed in the concepts of jazz now, are we?
