Akira: Kaneda takes on The Clowns

Set in the year 2019 in the city of Neo-Tokyo (thirty years after a mysterious explosion destroyed most of Tokyo and subsequently started World War III 9 hours later), a gang of teenage bikers called the Capsules, led by smug 16-year-old delinquent Shotaro Kaneda, engage the Clowns (a rival gang) in a street fight. In the midst of the fight, Kaneda's best friend Tetsuo Shima has his bike inexplicably explode when he finds a boy with the face of an old man blocking his path. The Capsules arrive to find Tetsuo only to see soldiers, led by Colonel Shikishima collect the boy (whose name is revealed to be Takashi) and the injured Tetsuo while they are arrested. When the Capsules are brought in for questioning, the interrogators are soon convinced the boys are not members of the Resistance.

The movie is great, but people should really read the original mangas it is based on. They are 100 times better than the movie, no shit.

Ok I shall now rub it in his face lol. But yeah thats why I never really liked Cam's voice for Kaneda lol. It just didn't fit the age to me...But now I'm going to mess with him and say Kratos is black lmao xD. By the way the voice actor for Kratos has a awesome voice :D

You're indeed right, Kaneda and his friends are all teenager. While their specific age is never mentioned in the manga, they are attending a techinical high school in the manga, so their age is between 15 and 18 years old. Furthermore, if Kaneda was in his 20s, he wouldn't be biker anymore, but a Yakuza. The Japanese biker gang culture, "Bōsōzoku", is a culture mainly practices by Japs under legale age, being 20 in Japan.

ok you read the Manga...I told someone Kaneda was about 15 or younger and he said he was in his 20's who is right? I just want to know so I can rub it in his face lol. I never read them I will when I find them. But I think he is referring to the fact that Kaneda is voiced by Cam Clarke and he makes Kaneda sounds 30 lol
