As much as I'm kidding about overanalyzing this monologue, I really still am pretty directionless regarding how I'm going to present it. I feel like I'm missing something - beyond expressing his loneliness, what good does this monologue do for the character? (Okay, that borders on overanalyzing.) Well, I hope you found a suitable monologue! I had to find a monologue for an audition once, and it was terrible. It's SO much easier when they just GIVE you the monologue.

And I know it's so hard to find one especially when they ask for your monologue to not exceed 1 minute - Virtually impossible.

And yes my username does refer to Pirates of Penzance. I was in it over the summer and I made an account for youtube real fast one night after rehearsal, so I just made it penzanceee. Did you have a specific role when you were in it or were you just in chorus? (I got to be Ruth in our production, it was one of my favorite shows I was in. It's So funny)
