GlobalFoundries was kind enough to give HardOCP an inside look at what it takes to build a semiconductor fabrication facility that will have over 6 American football fields worth of clean room space.
Volume 28nm production will be online in 2H 2012 with an expected 60,000 wafers per month once fully ramped to production.

The Way they Market Global Foundries FAB-8 Kinda Hints it has the Global Adrenaline to Compete, Also kinda of makes me thing of Sharp Aquos Kayema Plant-9! Wonder whattires their vehicles use Michellin or FireStone nice to have The Marketing Mascot Stay Puff Marshmellow Logo/Pillsbury Dough Boy or an Emblem Etching!
