Jan Akkerman In the mood live

Played live in The Hague (NL) May 2007. Jan Akkerman is still one of the best guitarist of the world. His amazing technical skills and feel surprises me everytime I see him. He was a member of the famous Dutch popgroup Focus. Jan is accomponied by Coen Molenaar on keyboards, Wilbrand Meischke bass and Marijn van den Berg drums. Jan plays a beautiful Gibson Les Paul.

Akkerman was great in Focus. Now, he is simply amazing. Perfect combination of technical ability with that touch of soul he adds to whatever he plays. Cant think of anyone quite like him. I think he has been touched by the hand of whichever God you believe in...

I love this man's playing. Just about the only guitarist who can actually play any style of guitar brilliantly. Classical, jazz, rock, funk, acoustic, gypsy jazz and lute, lead and rhythm. Always makes it look easy. .Sublime..
