Tyler Cox describes his Summer Residency project working with The Regence Group, a not-for-profit organization that is the largest affiliation of health care plans in the Pacific Northwest/Mountain Region. He worked in the Consumer Directed Health Systems department where he performed a user segmentation analysis of myRegence.com, a website for Regence members. He helped the division gain a deeper understanding of how the site was being used by specific groups of members, something that had not been done previously. He presented his findings and future recommendations to the Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Executive, as well as other VP's in the marketing department. Tyler also worked on a side project in which he investigated the percentage of members with impairments that use myRegence.com and how the site could be enhanced to accommodate them.
