Exactly how I felt when I heard the news. I realized how much I felt like I actually had known him, had had a relationship with him. He was an important part of my life for over 20 years, and is associated with some of my best memories of my youth. It was really hard to accept that he was gone.

Bravo.... oddly enough i just had my girlfriend's 11 year old son watch "Oh God" and last week i downloaded John Dever LIVE from iTunes. Love the song.

Beautiful tribute. I'm sure John would have loved it, especially the line from Poems, Prayers and Promises that you blended seamlessly into the song. Any chance of sharing the chords?
