Permanent magnets that can be turned off and on. This is the fastest and safest way to clamp a die in a press. Call me with any questions, 715-459-1240 or e-mail todd@tcr-inc.com

  • Actually it does not. The magnet has pairs of poles oriented with north and south poles next to each other. The force in the poles is balanced when built so they satisfy each other. The force travels the shortest easiest path. There is zero magnetism once you are .78" (20mm) away in any direction, so it never reaches through the QDC plate. You could put iron dust on the tool and blow it right off. Nothing sticks if it is more then an inch away from the magnetic poles.

  • Wouldn't that magnetize the die steels and cause steel material to stck to the working components of the die.
