How everyone conveniently "forgets" the Rice FUMBLE right before this play in which the Packers recovered & basically that ends it. But it was Rice, & the refs were not going to let the NFL's poster boy lose this one.So they cook up the famous "we have a NON call" call.{What is THAT...?} And they made the best of it. But payback came with Favre beating SF {again} in MN. Hitting Greg Lewis in the final play that was 10 times this one & a much more difficult throw. 14-1 vs SF lifetime says it all.

A lot of NINER fans bashed Starkey for the way he described games on the radio (didn't give down distance, didn't give time left, didn't give score), but damn, was he ever a good broadcaster or what. Robinson is good but he isn't on Starkey's iconic level.
