i wrote a plugin to let people paint vertex displacements in daz, so in recent weeks so i was dabbling in the same things ! :) though your textures must contain billions of polygons instead of 10000.

I can't remember ever seeing this style of work before. It has a very rich feel to it. I imagine it is even more stunning live, so you can see the play of shadows across the surface....I Like It! :-)
