An inspirational programme created by a multi award winning film production team and Lauren Heston, Britain's most renowned teacher of infant water safety classes.

All babies have a natural affinity to water and can play and exercise in water safely and with confidence from birth. Waterbabies is a unique instructional film which shows you how. The Little Dippers program has been running across Britain for fifteen years and provides a series of carefully-designed exercises aimed at developing safety skills, increasing fitness and having fun. It begins with simple and enjoyable exercises in the bath, and takes you and your baby through a gradual development of skills until your baby feels confident underwater. It is the ideal starting point for turning your baby into a confident swimmer later in life.

  • It is very important that if the baby shows stress during these exercises that you STOP!

Not all babies can be water babies.

I was, but my brother screamed after being submerged. He has always hated water and swimming.

Never push your baby to do it.

  • dude...babies are in a sack of water before they get here...wtf u can tell they love it

  • @superjeff299 Gee, thanks for that.....

  • Mm, at the end of the clip you say to go to journeyman.tv to watch the rest of the program, but it's not listed? What's up with that?

  • Is it just me, or is this creepy? Like the "Teach your baby to read and write before they fluently understand english". I don't want my baby to swim!

  • Hi - the DVD can be purchased from littledippersfilms.co.uk -the film guides you through a series of exercises that can be followed over a course of 22 weeks teaching you water confidence and building life saving skills with your baby.

  • Are there waterbabies program in Australia?

  • Straight off the bat I want to say; "NO! What are you idiots doing! STOP IT!"

But you've got to be open-minded about these things and, really, what harm could it possibly do if you're there every step of the way?

  • I'm a water baby.. lol

  • I think it's healthier to allow babies to be comfortable in water than to do what many Americans seem to do: scream hysterically "not my baby! not my baby!" when the idea of bringing a baby anywhere near water comes up. How many adults drown each year because they never learned how to swim as children, because their parents didn't want them to learn how to swim? Water is NOT evil, people! What's evil is not allowing a child to learn how to swim, although I agree that this should never be forced.

  • @jeanie400 Dumb bitch children must experience stress. Quit sheltering children and growing a generation of pussies.

  • STOP DROWNING BABIES?

    Stop! Drowning Babies!

    Stop Drowning, Babies...
