Newton's rings and interference

For instance ,you can measure the distance between the two glasses just around the point of pressure (tip of the pen).

In this video I amongst other things demonstrate interference of light waves, and Newton's rings.
Newton's rings were first written about in the book "Micrographia" (dated all the way back to 1664 by Robert Hooke), but analyzed by Sir I. Newton, hence the name.
