  • haha no. it was a long time ago that i bought the knife... but I'm picking up another from lee valley supplies, less than 20. I usually dont bring this much stuff, i was more or less showing the capabilities (and limitations) of most of my equipment. The first, I was probably refering to my shemagh. Its mainly worn by people in the desert climates (arab, iranian, etc) but its also worn by a lot of military personal around the world as well. Here i found it help keep my neck and face warm

  • the beltloop on mine tore off as well. I find if I carry it outside the pack I just hockey tape it to a belt or whatever :) I know about the axe! (my knife that I made weights just a little less than my axe...) next time I'll tote it along for sure. The saw is a no name hardware brand. The only thing I didnt like about it was that it slid in and out of the handle and the lock on it wouldn't hold in the cold very well.

  • Sorry, I'm back but still working on the video.... coming up soon

  • man, you're hard on your kit! you said it!

  • That gear doesn't incl knife, multi-tool, and pouches that I carry on my belt or vest either. Always Prepared!!!!

  • Good..I would not say you have much..I have a Lg Alice Pack used for winter-black-Lg Alice Pack use summer-OD. Both packed to 45-50lbs. Both inc-Garmin GPS, two Army tritium compasses, 3-canteens, two SideWinder flashlights and Petzl headlamp, Gerber LMF II knife, Filter Straws for H2O& Katydin Hikers Filter; two firesteels, pkg of bic lighters, magnesium bars, maya sticks/dust; Army Poncho w/liner, 55 gal trash bags(Min-3), 2-3 MRE's, two pair wool socks, HooAhh bars and Clif bars &Trail mix!

  • Again let me say nice survival equip. I use alot less but if you dont wanna rough it your way is best. Two things: 1m17s in you say something I didnt quite get. It looks like another bandana. And second, you said that you paid 8 bucks for your Mora... to get a Swedish style knife around here is like 40+ bucks easy. I know your from Canadia(long story, ask me I'll explain) but the currency exchange isnt 5:1 at least not since i checked it this morning. Is the US crumbling that bad? LOL.

  • P.S. the belt loop failed on my Mora. It pulled off the rivet, luckily I had string through hole in handle as well. Tossdart

  • The axe is the last thing to leave behind in Canada! Tossdart

  • Great Video. I always wear a knife on my belt and keep a MORA in my pack; they are awesome blades!
