After the wide success of Killinarden Community School's film 'Johnny Splitz' Killinarden Community School was happy to work again with South Dublin County Council and filmmaker Olivia Fitzsimons. School students created two short films called 'Carry and Vinny'. The film shoots were supported by the Tallaght Young Filmmakers. Each short looks at the difficulties of being a brilliant young artist in the context of a diverse and changing community. 'Carry', is inspired by the life of the famous artist, Carravaggio. Carry lives a charmed life for a teenager, no rules, no responsibility but underneath it lies a talented young man who's life is marred by the violence that surrounds him and his inability to believe in himself.
