Alphaville - Forever Young
Lyrics:

Lets dance in style, lets dance for a while
Heaven can wait were only watching the skies
Hoping for the best but expecting the worst
Are you going to drop the bomb or not?

Let us die young or let us live forever
We dont have the power but we never say never
Sitting in a sandpit, life is a short trip
The musics for the sad men

Can you imagine when this race is won
Turn our golden faces into the sun
Praising our leaders were getting in tune
The musics played by the madmen

Forever young, I want to be forever young
Do you really want to live forever, forever and ever

Some are like water, some are like the heat
Some are a melody and some are the beat
Sooner or later they all will be gone
Why dont they stay young

Its so hard to get old without a cause
I dont want to perish like a fading horse
Youth is like diamonds in the sun
And dimonds are forever

So many adventures couldnt happen today
So many songs we forgot to play
So many dreams are swinging out of the blue
We let them come true

  • Napoleon Dynamite

  • @GiampieroMagalli looks like a portal into the past

  • @bananarockclassic : now its 7

  • Jay-Z version has 43 million views, Youth Group 7 million views..and the original--->best one 100000 views...

    what`s wrong with people nowadays??

  • @xr6lad It was memories of the original that led me to Youth Group's version and I would have to agree, theirs is by far and a way the best version.

  • @halo10001 In your heart, you are!...and that's what counts :)

  • @shinrips wouldn't surprise me....alot of 80's tunes were about the nuclear holocaust!

  • Is this song about nuclear holocaust? It's like remembering kids that died at a young age (from nukes), in a sense, forever young. Sad but happy memories of remembering someone always as a young person. Kinda poetic tragedy in a sense. Beautiful song. It probably could be studied in a college course or high school much like a Dillon song.

  • one of the anthems of my youth: the new wave era.... thank you so much, 1980's!

  • Songs like this makes me wish I was an 80's child.
